Fifth islands anaesthetic/ICU conference - 'Obstetric Anaesthesia in the islands'

Members of the Guernsey Medic Network, both on or off island who have an interest in delivery of obstetric anaesthetic services are invited to attend the 5th island anaesthetic / ICU conference which will be held on Microsoft Teams.

This follows successful previous conferences in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

For this meeting we will discuss the provision of obstetric anaesthetic services in Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Gibraltar and the challenges that result from small populations, remote location, limited resources and high public expectations.

1900 to 1925 – Isle of Man Alison Hool(Anaesthetist/ Obstetric Anaesthetic lead)
1925 to 1950– Guernsey Clare Conroy (Anaesthetist/ Obstetric Anaesthetic lead)
1950 to 2015 – Jersey Caroline Jenkins (Anaesthetist/ Obstetric Anaesthetic lead)
2015 to 2030 – Discussion / close
